Warning
Inside everybody's nose

There lives a sharp-toothed snail.
So if you stick your finger in,
He may bite off your nail.
Stick it farther up inside,
And he may bite your ring off.
Stick it all the way, and he
May bite the whole darn thing off.

From Where the Sidewalk Ends
by Shel Silverstein

Am I a bad parent that I quote this poem to Clara? She now thinks we have to go in her nose and get the monster out. oops...

This was promising...
"One doctor, Dr. Friedrich Bischinger of Austria, claims that nose-picking, combined with nasal mucus eating, may benefit the immune system."
